On the original demo, Gregory brought me into the studio during a very late night session. We had the old ADA MP-1 for rhythm guitars but couldn't get it to work the way we wanted. We also had a Rockman that I used for leads. At the time it seemed so innovative! I felt my work was okay back then, but what a great chance to revisit and upgrade and rearrange to bring this song into the future...

In the early morning sunlight
Thoughts racing through my head from last night
The smoke in the air from lamplights
Gives a haze to everything I see.
In blind confusion, we burnt temples down
And now we’ve no one else to blame but ourselves.

Our people lived in cages (of the mind)
We blamed the demigods for waging war
And with each battle, we suffered more.
